About Us
We're a casual dining/take-out restaurant serving really good Mexican Food, nothing fancy. We're family owned and operated, we have limited seating, and we have a chef...
A chef?
Well, according to CulinaryLabs:
a chef is an individual who is trained to understand flavors, cooking techniques, create recipes from scratch with fresh ingredients, and have a high level of responsibility within a kitchen. A cook is an individual who follows established recipes to prepare food.
And so, I think one would agree, we have a Chef at our establishment (but we won’t make you call her that). Chef Amie is an esteemed and distinquished professional, known by her family as a thoughtful and moral caretaker, but known by her peers as a meticulous and assiduous worker. She’s been featured in the news, she’s been featured at our Thanksgiving, and she’s even been featured on the Food Network where she was the winner of Chef Wanted with Anne Burrell (season 2, episode 3).
So if you’re in the mood for some really good Mexican food and you want a lot of flavor, stop by Roberto’s and see Chef Amie in action!
“From the moment you step through our doors, you’ll embark on a culinary journey through the heart of Mexico. Each dish on our menu is a labor of love, carefully crafted to showcase the finest ingredients and flavors.”

Our Story Continued...
Let’s read a bit more about Chef Amie Hurd and why we’re so blessed to have her at Roberto’s.
Chef Amie is what really brings Roberto’s to life. She brings passion, creativity, and a deep respect for tradition to our kitchen. Her journey began in the Rocky Mountains, where she first discovered the joy of cooking, and has taken her across the country to each corner of our nation—each step along the way sharpening her skills and deepening her culinary perspective.
Formally trained at the New England Culinary Institute, Chef Amie graduated with honors after completing high-level internships in both Idaho and New Hampshire. But it was her time living and working in Southern California and Arizona that truly shaped her love and mastery of Mexican cuisine. Immersed in the rich culture and flavors of the Southwest, she refined her approach to bold spices, fresh ingredients, and the soulful techniques that define authentic Latin American cooking.
Amie’s dedication to the craft and her creative flair result in dishes that are both rooted in tradition and alive with personal expression. From vibrant salsas and slow-braised meats to handcrafted queso and thoughtful dietary options, every item on the menu reflects her commitment to quality and flavor.
If you want a quality meal, we invite you to join us for a dining experience that celebrates the spirit of Mexican Food—warm, bold, and made with flavor.
